LUNA'S COBALT
Something old something new , something borrowed something ( cobalt ) blue. This week I had 3 second life weddings to go to and there must be a contagious wedding virus going around. On one of the weddings I was a bridesmaid and I wanted to make some pictures of the wedding to show to you but like always weddings in second life are laggy like a mofo so everybody including the bride and groom crashed over and over again before they could say there vows. Modern communication techniques like Skype saved the day they did there vows there , me a softy snotterd and sniffed like a baby trough the whole ceremony.
This weeks color on Luna's challenge is cobalt and I knew right away I would use this boots and bag but finding a matching outfit was not that easy this time.I made it as you can see.Wikipedia is telling : Cobalt-based blue pigments have been used since ancient times for jewelry and paints, and to impart a distinctive blue tint to glass, but the color was later thought by alchemists to be due to the known metal bismuth. Miners had long used the name kobold ore (German for goblin ore) for some of the blue-pigment producing minerals; they were named because they were poor in known metals and gave poisonous arsenic-containing fumes upon smelting. In 1735, such ores were found to be reducible to a new metal (the first discovered since ancient times), and this was ultimately named for the kobold.
