What traditions you live by during the Christmas season depends for most part on your upbringing and place of birth.

For me a non religious person living in Holland the most exciting time during Christmas was the morning of December 25th.

Tip toeing in my peejay's , very early when my parents were still sleeping, checking the boxes under the tree.

Shushing the dog so he would not wake everybody up, so I had a little more time to feel the presents as well.

Hoping for a movie star Barbie with updo hair and sparkeling dresses .....

Being happy in the end with home made mittens ,a woolen hat, crayons and a coloring book.

For now, me being a grown up Christmas does not ring any bells of joy inside of me.

Am I an Ebenezerina Scroodge , treating people mean and hiding myself from all the holiday fun ?

And no I am still nice, but I have the strong desire to run and hide and just come back in 2017.
